Our Wedding and Vows

This was one of the happiest days in my life :) Here are a few of our pictures and below is a copy of my favorite part of out wedding, our vows.

We laughed and smiled a lot through our wedding.
More smiling :)

This is the gazebo in front of Southeastern Chapel.

Remove the blindfold... this is when Larry 1st saw me in my wedding dress.
We had a time of prayer before the ceremony
Larry blindfolded and me coming up to meet him on the steps of Binkley Chapel at Southeastern Seminary. We had hours and hours of great talks about out hopes and desires for our lives sitting on these steps. This is when I first fell in love with Larry and knew I wanted to be his wife :)

I Loved my dress!

Sweet Kiss

We're really doing this.... We're getting married!

Our first dance
Wedding Vows
I Larry, before God and these witnesses make this covenant to you Angela.
It is my desire and commitment to love you as Jesus Christ loves His church.
It is my desire and commitment to lead you and to bring glory to God with your life
It is my desire and commitment to grant you honor, admiration and affection and to love you with all of the passion and fervency of my being.

As your husband, I will gladly seek to understand you and to provide for your spiritual, mental and physical well-being.
I will place your needs above my own and love you as I have loved myself.
I will be faithful to you and avoid all that is immoral, impure or unholy.
I will not keep a record of your wrongs.
I will cultivate tender affection for you, both in private and in public.
I will give you authority over my body in the union which we alone will enjoy.
I will never leave you, nor divorce you.

Above all, it is my desire and commitment to be the spiritual leader of our family and to be an example of Christ’s love, devotion and obedience to God and to treasure Christ above all else.

And if God blesses us with children,
I promise to lead our family in worship and prayer,
to be faithful and active in our local church
to teach our family the Bible and how to live a life that is pleasing to God
and to raise our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

This day I seal this covenant for as long as we both shall live.

I Angela, before God and these witnesses make this covenant to you Larry.

It is my desire and commitment to joyfully submit myself to your headship as the church has submitted herself to Christ.
It is my desire and commitment to allow you to provide leadership in my life.
It is my desire and commitment to grant you honor, and respect as my husband and to love you with all of the passion and fervency of my being.

As your wife, I will seek to be your helper and companion and to care for your spiritual, mental and physical well-being.
I will place your needs above my own and love you as I have loved myself.
I will be faithful to you and avoid all that is immoral, impure or unholy.
I will not keep a record of your wrongs.
I will cultivate tender affection for you both in private and in public.
I will give you authority over my body in the union, which we alone will enjoy.
I will never leave you nor divorce you.

Above all, I will honor you as the spiritual leader of our home and become an example of Christ’s love, devotion and obedience to God and to treasure Christ above all else.

And if God blesses us with children,
I promise to gladly regard my role as wife and mother as my priority.
I will pray for you and encourage you as the spiritual leader of our home, and will honor you as the spiritual leader of our home.
I will make our home a place of peace, and comfort.

This day I seal this covenant for as long as we both shall live.
